West Virginia redshirt freshman Ryder Burton announced Wednesday that he’ll be entering the transfer portal.
Burton spent just one season with the Mountaineers after transferring from BYU after a redshirt in 2023. Burton did not see any game action but was the third quarterback on the depth chart behind Garrett Greene and Nicco Marchiol.
In high school, Burton was rated as a three-star and No. 64 overall quarterback prospect in his class by 247Sports. He will have three years of remaining eligibility.
