According to ESPN’s Max Olson, linebacker Trey Lathan plans to enter the transfer portal.
Lathan has been with WVU since he was a freshman in 2022. He redshirted that season and then started five games in 2023 before suffering a season-ending leg injury.
This season, Lathan has been a primary piece for the Mountaineers’ defense. He had 79 total tackles (40 solo), including nine tackles for loss, two sacks and also had a forced fumble.
Lathan will have two years of remaining elibility as WVU loses another productive linebacker.
