Frisco Bowl Quarterback Matchup: Garrett Greene vs. Seth Henigan

Garrett Greene and Memphis quarterback Seth Henigan have different playing styles when it comes to moving the football down the field. Both seniors will play in their final game tomorrow to take home a bowl game win.

Greene, West Virginia’s two-year starting quarterback, is mainly known for his exceptional runs. Finishing the season with 669 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns, he is more comfortable on his feet. He has 1,972 passing yards completing 58% following the 2024 season.

Henigan is the only current four-year FBS starting quarterback to spend his entire career at the same school. This season, he overpowered Greene with 3,208 passing yards, completing 64.2% of passes, but fell in the rushing category with only 129 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown. Henigan is the Memphis career leader with 13,972 passing yards and 102 touchdowns.

While Memphis ranks 20th-worst in college football in passing defense, they shouldn’t see too much of a problem as West Virginia mainly runs the ball. The Mountaineers may see more of a challenge as their difference struggles against teams who are strong in the passing column.

Each quarterback brings his own skill set to the field, making this game sure to be an exciting one.
