According to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, WVU Sports Hall of Famer Anthony Becht has interviewed for the head coach opening at West Virginia.
Becht had a decade-long career in the NFL and was an analyst before becoming the head coach of the UFL’s St. Louis Battlehawks in 2023. According to Schefter, Becht has also drawn interest from the NFL.
With the WVU head coach search ongoing, it is now known that the former great tight end is someone being considered for the job. Becht’s son, Rocco, is currently the starting quarterback at Iowa State.
