West Virginia’s Second-Leading Tackler Enters Transfer Portal

According to college football insider Pete Thamel, redshirt freshman linebacker Josiah Trotter is entering the transfer portal.

Trotter did not play as a freshman in 2023 due to injury but has been one of WVU’s best defenders in 2024. On the season, he had 93 total tackles (37 solo), two passes defended, an interception, and half a sack.

Trotter is the son of former NFL linebacker Jeremiah Trotter and brother of current Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Jermiah Trotetr Jr. This is one of the first big hits for a Mountaineer team that is currently without a head coach after Neal Brown’s firing.
