McAfee on WVU Job: ‘Something Special Is Possible’

Former West Virginia football player, retired NFL player and media personality Pat McAfee posted to X (formerly Twitter) hours after the news broke of WVU head coach Neal Brown’s firing on Sunday.

In his tweet, McAfee thanked Coach Brown for his time at WVU. He also mentioned that he has been on the phone for quite a bit since the news broke and said that “something special is possible.”

It is unclear what McAfee is referring to exactly, but it may be something to keep a close eye on.

The national search for the new Mountaineer head football coach is underway, an intriguing new beginning for the program.
