Redshirt senior Ceili McCabe was named the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Mid-Atlantic Region Women’s Athlete of the Year.
McCabe placed 6th individually at the Cross Country NCAA Championships Saturday in Wisconsin. West Virginia placed 2nd overall. McCabe was also named a First-Team All-American.
West Virginia coach, Sean Cleary, was awarded the USTFCCCA Mid-Atlantic Region Coach of the Year. Cleary has been the head coach of the Track & Field and Cross Country teams for 18 years now.
