Senior Spotlight: Offense

WVU is honoring their senior class on Saturday against UCF.

Brandon Yates is West Virginia’s center but has played all over the offensive line in his career at WVU. Last year, he played some center, left and right guard. He did not allow a sack in 2023 and was an All-Big 12 Honorable Mention. In 2022, he started at right tackle and left tackle in 2020 and 2021. He was also an All-Big 12 Honorable Mention in 2020.

Garrett Greene has been West Virginia’s starting quarterback for two years now but has started and played in other games across his career at WVU. He came to WVU in the 2020 COVID Year. Last season, he was an All-Big 12 Conference Fourth Team (Phil Steele) and All-Big 12 Conference Honorable-Mention Honoree (Coaches), as well as Duke’s Mayo Bowl MVP. In his career, he currently has 4,659 passing yards and 32 passing touchdowns. On the ground, he’s added 1,985 rushing yards and 27 rushing touchdowns. 

Justin Robinson transferred to WVU this offseason from Mississippi State but began his collegiate career at Georgia. So far this season, the receiver has 12 catches for 199 yards and two touchdowns. 

Ja’Quay Hubbard is West Virginia’s right guard. He added depth at both right and left tackle in 2021 and 2022. He transferred from Virginia after a redshirt freshman year in 2019. He started five games for WVU last season and became a full-time starter this season.

Kole Taylor is West Virginia’s starting tight end. He transferred to WVU last season after beginning his career at LSU. He made an instant impact for the Mountaineers as their leading receiver last season. In 2023, he was named All-Big 12 Conference Second Team (Coaches) and All-Big 12 Conference Fourth Team (Phil Steele). In his career at WVU so far, he has 70 catches for 832 yards and seven touchdowns. 

Nick Malone is West Virginia’s starting right tackle after beginning his career as a walk-on. The Morgantown native earned a scholarship in 2022 and added depth for the Mountaineers over his career before earning the starting role at right tackle this year.

Wyatt Milum is West Virginia’s left tackle. He started nearly right away at WVU at right tackle before switching to left last year. In 2021, he was a FWAA Freshman All-America Team, The Athletic Freshman All-America Team and On3 True Freshman All-America Team. Last season he was an All-American Honorable-Mention (Phil Steele) and All-Big 12 Conference Second Team (Coaches, Phil Steele). Highly regarded as one of West Virginia’s most talented player, he is projected to be selected in the first two rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft.
