West Virginia sophomore Wide Receiver Traylon Ray was carted off the field this past weekend in the third quarter of a game versus Baylor after suffering a lower-body injury.
Ray has had a productive year up until this point, posting 28 catches for 426 yards and four touchdowns. In the game, he had three catches for 22 yards and a touchdown.
Ray had to undergo surgery and posted an update via his X/Twitter account.
Traylon posted, “l appreciate all the messages i’ve been receiving from everyone. The surgery went great and i’ll make a full recovery! Sometimes you might not fully understand God’s plan but you have to trust it! Much love to mountaineer nation, I’ll be back better than ever. GO NEERS!”
