West Virginia linebacker Reid Carrico was named Big 12 Co-Defensive Player of the Week for his week 12 performance against Baylor.
Carrico led the Mountaineers with 16 tackles. While they lost against Baylor, Carrico was one of West Virginia’s positives in the game.
The redshirt junior transferred to WVU in the winter after a few years at Ohio State. This season, he has 39 total tackles (14 solo) and a forced fumble.
This marks the second consecutive week that a Mountaineer has shared the weekly honor with Anthony Wilson being a Big 12 Co-Defensive Player of the Week last week. Carrico shares the honors with Arizona’s Genesis Smith.
