West Virginia head men’s basketball coach Darian DeVries spoke to the media Wednesday, answering questions about the signing period and future recruits.
DeVries was asked about his feelings on the process so far and if he was satisfied with the team’s position regarding the signing period.
“Yeah, I think we’re pretty happy with the guys we signed, obviously. We are very excited about them. I think the interest levels across the country in recruiting have been really good, and we’re certainly excited about what that looks like as we continue to move forward and into the future,” DeVries said. “We’ll be able to comment more on that in the next few days as we get the papers and some other things back.”
According to 247Sports, the Mountaineers already have three hard commits: small forward Kelvin Odih, a four-star from SoCal Academy; power forward Trent MacLean, a four-star who is teammates with Kelvin at SoCal Academy; and Brayden Hawthorne, a three-star small forward from Huntington High School in West Virginia.
Currently, WVU’s 2025 recruiting class ranks 21st in the nation, according to 247Sports.
