WVU women’s basketball moved up to the No.15 spot in the AP poll after a dominant 2-0 start to the season.
West Virginia women’s basketball who started the season ranked No.16 has moved up a spot to No.15 in this week’s AP poll.
The team has gotten off to a dominant start through their first two games of the year outscoring Towson and Niagra by a combined score of 195-82. The Mountaineers defense has also picked up right where they left off last year by forcing 76 turnovers so far.
The Mountaineer’s offense has been led so far by Junior guard Jordan Harrison, who has posted back-to-back games with 20+ points.
WVU has two big matchups at home this week with Pitt and Texas A&M. They will host Pitt on Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 7:00 pm EST in the team’s gold rush game. They will host Texas A&M on Friday, Nov. 15 at 7:00 pm EST in the coal rush game. Both games will be televised on ESPN+.
