The Mountaineers are on the road in Week 11 to take on Cincinnati in a Big 12 matchup.
Both teams are coming off a bye week and have a 3-2 record in conference play. West Virginia’s defense will be under the new direction of interim defensive coordinator Jeff Koonz after Jordan Lesley’s firing.

3:30 – WVU recovers a backwards pass, fumble scoop and score for a touchdown. The play went under-review and was confirmed a touchdown. It was a much needed cushion for WVU.

9:42 – Touchdown Bearcats. This drive went with the legs of Cincinnati QB Brendan Sorsby. He finished the drive with an impressive 12-yard rushing touchdown to cut the WVU-lead to 3.

2:42 – First play of the Cincinnati drive is a catch and run touchdown for 80-yards by Evan Pryor of the Bearcats.
2:42 – Nicco Marchiol took a shot at the endzone, pass intended for Rodney Gallagher III. The pass was intercepted by Logan Wilson. The WVU drive was bolstered by a great throw and catch to Justin Robinson for a 50-yard gain. Cincinnati touchback, will start at their own 20.

8:29 – Touchdown Mountaineers. QB Nicco Marchiol rushed it 8-yards up the middle to give the Mountaineers a three score lead. The big play on this drive was a 38-yard catch by Traylon Ray, on third and long. This set up WVU in great scoring position. They have scored 24-straight unanswered points.

2:00 – Two-minute warning. WVU will recieve the punt from Cincinnati to try and get some more points before the end of the half.

3:37 – WVU QB Nicco Marchiol sligns a 10-yard pass to WR Justin Robinson for the Mountaineers touchdown. The drive was bolstered by a great punt return from Preston Fox and two big runs from RB Jaheim White. The Mountaineers have scored 17-unanswered points here in the second quater.

8:40 – WVU got inside the Cincinnati 10, but was unable to punch it in. They settled for a 24-yard FG attempt which was made by Michael Hayes II.

12:31 – Pick Six for the Mountaineers. The Bearcats were going for a 4th and 1 chance right outside the redzone. QB Brendan Sorsby tried throwing out of a sack, and the ball ended up right in the hands of Amthony Wilson Jr. He took it 79 yards to the house.

3:06 – Cincinnati forces a three-and-out on the Mountaineers’ second drive of the game and will start at its own 24-yard line after the WVU punt.

5:17 – Cincinnati RB Corey Kiner finishes off the drive with a two-yard rushing TD. The Bearcats went for 68 yards on 13 plays in their opening drive.
11:21 – After a nice start to the opening drive, WVU faced a 4th and 4 on Cincinnati’s 32-yard line. The pass intended to Rondey Gallagher III was incomplete and the Mountaineers turned it over on downs.
