During his show at Kegler’s with Tony Caridi, Neal Brown discussed some of his player’s injuries for this week’s game against Cincinnati.
Brown said that quarterback Garrett Greene is still doubtful, although there is a chance he could play. Greene hasn’t played since suffering an injury in the first half of a loss against Kansas State.
Redshirt sophomore Nicco Marchiol is slated for his second-straight start. Marchiol played well in a win against Arizona before WVU’s bye week, throwing two touchdowns and completing over 80% of his passes.
Senior offensive tackle Wyatt Milum, who also has been sidelined since the Kansas State game, but is set to return against Cincinnati, according to Brown.
Earlier this week, Brown mentioned that three players would be out: safety Aubrey Burks, cornerback Ayden Garnes and wide receiver Jaden Bray. All have been out for several games.
Brown said that he would know Burks’s status for the rest of the season soon; he could continue to be out for an extended time, same with Garnes. However, he said that Bray’s status is headed in the right direction; he could return in West Virginia’s game against Baylor and, if not, then in their game the next week against UCF.
