The 2024-2025 men’s basketball season couldn’t be closer and West Virginia has officially released their nonconference promotional schedule.
The season kicks off on Monday, Nov. 4, against Robert Morris with a poster giveaway. It will be head coach Darian DeVries’s first regular-season game as the program’s head coach.
Friday, Nov. 8, against UMass, is military appreciation day. Veterans and active-duty service members will be honored throughout the game. The Mountaineer Ticket Sales and Service team will offer discounted tickets to active-duty service members, veterans, and first responders.
WVU will hold a toy drive against Iona on Nov. 20, and it will also be magnet giveaway night. Fans who donate a toy will receive a discounted ticket voucher to a future women’s basketball home game this season.
West Virginia’s Gold Rush game is the Big East-Big 12 battle against Georgetown on Dec. 6. Before the game, there will also be photo booth opportunities, face painting, and balloon artistry. In addition, special group tickets will be offered for Union and Educator night.
Happy hour night is against North Carolina Central on Dec. 10. From 5:30-7 p.m. all concession beverage prices will be half off.
Dec. 14 against Bethune-Cookman is the first family day of the season. For $65, you can purchase a plan of four tickets and a $25 concession voucher. There will also be a canned food drive, and those who donate will receive a discounted ticket voucher to a future women’s basketball home game this season. Special group ticket packages are also being offered for Youth Sports, Energy, and Healthcare Worker Appreciation Day.
The last nonconference promotional day is against Mercyhurst on Dec. 21. It will be the final family day and also holiday hoops. The same plan bundle for $65 can be purchased, and fans are encouraged to wear their favorite ugly holiday sweater. Santa photos will be offered in the concourse, and holiday promotions will be throughout the contest.
