Sophomore wide receiver Traylon Ray talked about connecting with backup quarterback Nicco Marchiol for a 54-yard touchdown against Arizona.
On Saturday, in WVU’s 31-26 win over Arizona, sophomore Traylon Ray caught his third touchdown and longest reception of the season with a 54-yard touchdown grab from Marchiol.
Ray talked after the game about trying to ensure that Marchiol was as comfortable as possible under center while stepping in for Garrett Greene.
“Once I saw single high safety, and we called the play we called, the rest is history I knew I needed to get the ball,” Ray said Saturday after the game.
After defeating Arizona, the Mountaineers will go into their second and last bye week of the season with a 4-4 record.
