In the New York Knicks’ 25-point victory over Indiana on Friday, former Mountaineer and rising star “Deuce” McBride took rookie Ariel Hukporti under his wing.
“Don’t throw these minutes away,” McBride told the rookie on the court.
McBride’s advice holds plenty of weight within the Knicks organization, having taken a massive leap in playing time and production over the past year.
In the first two games of the year, McBride is averaging 15 points, two assists, and one rebound in 23 minutes per game.
