Coming off a blowout loss at home to No.16 Kansas State in which the Mountaineers suffered multiple injuries throughout the game, head coach Neal Brown provided a few updates on who’s in and who’s out during his weekly show on Thursday.
The Mountaineers lost two defensive linemen who started the game against Kansas State: Senior TJ Jackson and Junior Hammond Russell. Brown said they will both return for the game against Arizona this Saturday.
In the secondary, Ayden Garnes and Aubrey Burks will miss their second straight game due to injury, but everyone else should be ready to go.
On the offensive side of the ball, a few key offensive players suffered injuries and missed the entirety of the second half. Running back Jahiem White will be back for the game against Arizona. Quarterback Garrett Greene and offensive tackle Wyatt Milum have been very limited in practice and are currently TBD to suit up against Arizona.
The Mountaineers will look to overcome these injuries in their first-ever matchup with Arizona on Saturday at 7:00 pm EST.
