The player attendees for the Big 12 men’s basketball media day were officially released on Thursday, ahead of the event next Wednesday in Kansas City.
Media day includes a handful of Q&A’s and coaches’ press conferences.
New Mountaineers Tucker DeVries and Javon Small will be representing WVU in Kansas City at Big 12 men’s basketball media day along with new head coach Darian DeVries. Both players are getting ready to start their first season with the Mountaineers.
DeVries transferred from Drake University after his father was named the new head coach of the Mountaineers earlier this year. The former two-time Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year was one of the most highly-touted players in the transfer portal this past offseason
Small is a guard transfer from Big 12 opponent Oklahoma State. He was the Cowboys leading scorer on average last season, averaging over 15 points per game. WVU is now the third school he’s been at, as he started his career at Eastern Carolina.
Media day will kick off at 9:30 a.m. EST, with the Big 12 commissioner taking the stage. The rest of the day will be filled with coaches’ press conferences.
