Mountaineers in the NFL Week 6: A Pair of Former Mountaineers Leave Early with Injuries

With the conclusion of Week 6, let’s take a look around the NFL at some former Mountaineers and their Week 6 performances.

Beanie Bishop

In Week 6, The Pittsburgh Steelers traveled to Las Vegas to take on the Raiders. Cornerback Beanie Bishop recorded three solo tackles and a pass defended his second of the season to the Steelers in their 32-12 rout over the Raiders. The Steelers improved their record on the season to 4-2. Pittsburgh will look to build off that win on Sunday Night Football when they will host the New York Jets at 8:20 pm EST.

Dante Stills

In Week 6, the Arizona Cardinals traveled to take on the Green Bay Packers. Defensive Lineman Dante Stills recorded two solo tackles with four total on Sunday. The Cardinals were defeated by a score of 34-13. The 2-4 Arizona Cardinals will host the Los Angeles Chargers on Oct. 21st on Monday Night Football at 9:00 PM EST.

Kyzir White

In the Week six loss to the Green Bay Packers, Linebacker Kyzir White recorded three tackles before leaving the game in the first half with a knee injury. Kyzir White was seen on the Cardinal’s sideline after the half but did not enter back into the game. The extent of his injury is still unknown at the time.

David Long Jr.

The Miami Dolphins were on a bye week in Week 6. The 2-3 Miami Dolphins will look to get back to .500 next week on the road against the Indianapolis Colts at 1:00 pm EST.

Colton McKivitz

The San Fransisco 49ers topped the Seattle Seahawks 36-24 on Thursday Football, improving their record to 3-3. Former Mountaineer offensive lineman Colton Mckivitz made another start at right tackle. The 49ers will host the defending Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday at 4:25 pm EST.

Geno Smith

In Week Six, the Seattle Seahawks struggled on Thursday Night Football, losing 36-24 at home against the San Francisco 49ers. Quarterback Geno Smith completed 30 of his 52 pass attempts for 312 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. He still leads the NFL in passing yards with 1,778. The Seahawks will travel to Atlanta to take on the Falcons at 1:00 p.m. EST.

Rasul Douglas

In Week 6, the Buffalo Bills took a big 23-20 win over the New York Jets on Monday Night Football. Cornerback Rasul Douglas recorded four solo and one assisted to go with a pass defended. The Buffalo Bills sit comfortably at the top of the AFC East with a 4-2 record. The Bills will host the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, Oct. 20, at 1:00 pm EST.

Zach Frazier

In Week Six, the Pittsburgh Steelers picked up a big road win over the Las Vegas Raiders 32-13. Rookie center Zach Frazier exited the game late in the third quarter. He was examined in the locker room for an ankle injury after it appeared he got rolled up on by a Raider defensive lineman. He was questionable about returning to the game but never went back in. The Steelers will host the New York Jets on Sunday Night Football at 8:20 pm EST.
