WVU Women’s Basketball Ranked at 16 in ESPN’s Way Too Early Top-25

The nation is starting to take notice of the WVU Women’s Basketball team after being ranked 16 in ESPN’s Way Too Early Rankings. The selection comes after a motivating performance against Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes on the road in the NCAA Tournament a season ago.

Mark Kellogg’s team will be returning just about every key piece this season including the star backcourt duo of JJ Quinerly and Jordan Harrison. The Mountaineers also made a couple of key additions in the transfer portal over the offseason, improving on guard depth and size, something the team lacked a season ago.

Maybe the highest anticipated season in the history of WVU Women’s basketball will begin on Nov. 5 when the team hosts Towson in the WVU Coliseum.
