According to PFF, West Virginia is ranked fifth among Power Four teams in quarterback pressures through four weeks, tied with Oklahoma State and South Carolina.
Quarterback pressures are essentially a pass-rushing statistic that measures a defense’s ability to put pressure on the quarterback, forcing him to move out of the pocket or throw prematurely. For weeks, WVU’s TJ Jackson led the Power Four in quarterback pressures with 20.
The Mountaineers are 2-2 currently (1-1 on a bye week). Next week, they’ll travel to take on Oklahoma State. Kickoff is at 4 p.m. EST, and the game will be televised on ESPN2.
