The Mountaineers will host Kansas in week four, their first Big 12 matchup of the season.
Each squad is 1-2 heading into the contest, dire to get a win. WVU is coming off a loss to rival Pitt in the Backyard Brawl, while the Jayhawks have lost two straight.
It is the WVU Sports Hall of Fame weekend. At 9 a.m., fans can attend induction ceremonies at the Caperton Indoor Practice Facility free of charge. Eight inductees are in the 2024 class. Due to the use of the Indoor Practice Facility for the inductions, the Kids Zone will be moved to Almost Heaven Villiage.
In addition to Hall of Fame inductions and recognition, the 2005 WVU men’s basketball team will be celebrated. They will be recognized during the first timeout of the second quarter.
Parking lots open at 7 a.m. Kickoff is at noon, with gates opening 90 minutes before at 10:30 a.m.
As always, the Mountaineer Mantrip will occur two hours and 15 minutes before kickoff (approximately 9:45). Following the mantrip, fans can join the wave to the top of the WVU Medicine Children’s Hospital.
Almost Heaven Village, located between the light blue and teal parking lots, offers a multitude of activities. As previously mentioned, the Kid Zone will be at AHV for Saturday’s game, it will open at 8:30 a.m. and close at 11:30 a.m.
To help ensure safety for all in attendance, WVU has a clear bag policy and has added metal detectors to all its major athletic venues.
All concession stands and parking lots are cashless.
The PRT will run from 9:30 a.m. until one hour after the game at no cost.
The game will be televised on ESPN2.
