As we enter week four of the college football season, players are starting to get in a groove and ‘heat up.’

The Mountaineers as a team are 1-2 but do stats help tell the story? Let’s take a look at the top three West Virginia stat leaders in every major category.

Offense

Passing

Garrett Greene: 48-81 (59.3%), 607 yards, five touchdowns and two interceptions.

Nicco Marchiol: 3-4 (75%), 12 yards, 0 touchdowns and one interception.

Rushing

CJ Donaldson: 45 carries for 246 yards (5.5) and three touchdowns.

Jahiem White: 31 carries for 179 yards (5.8) and two touchdowns.

Garrett Greene: 28 carries for 122 yards (4.4) and one touchdown

Receiving Yards

Kole Taylor: 115 yards on nine receptions (12.8)

Traylon Ray: 95 yards on 10 receptions (9.5)

Jaden Bray: 88 yards on two receptions (44)

Receiving Touchdowns

Justin Robinson: two touchdowns.

CJ Donaldson, Hudson Clement and Kole Taylor: one touchdown.

Defense

Tackles

Anthony Wilson: 22 total tackles (eight solo).

Josiah Trotter: 17 total tackles (eight solo).

Trey Lathan: 15 total tackles (six solo).

Sacks

TJ Jackson: 2.5 sacks.

Hammond Russell, Sean Martin and Trey Lathan: one sack.

Josiah Trotter, Nate Gabriel and Tyrin Bradley: 0.5 sack.

Passes Defended

Anthony Wilson, Dontez Fagan, Garenett Hollis, Josiah Trotter, Rodney Gallagher and Tyrin Bradley: one pass defended.
