Jordan Lesley Deletes Social Media Account Amid Backlash

Following Saturday’s 38-34 loss to Pitt, West Virginia defensive coordinator Jordan Lesley deleted his X (formerly Twitter) account.

It appears Lesley is looking to shut out all the outside noise, looking to focus on his job and the team. After being up by 10 in the final five minutes of the game, WVU gave up 152 yards and two touchdowns, allowing Pitt to leave Saturday victorious.

As they have been doing, many fans criticized Lesley and the defense following the collapse in the final stages of the Backyard Brawl Saturday. While some coaches try not to be bothered by social media it is evident that Lesley has had enough.

Despite its main use for sharing thoughts, opinions, news, etc., high school players can use the platform to contact Lesley and other coaches.

West Virginia hosts Kansas next week in their first conference game. The game will be nationally televised on ESPN2, with kickoff set for noon EST.
