On Thursday it was announced that tickets for the 107th all-time meeting between Pitt and West Virginia have sold out.
Acrisure Stadium, Pitt’s home stadium and the home stadium of the NFL’s Pittsburgh Steelers has a capacity listed at 68,400. When the Brawl returned in 2022, over 70,500 fans attended the matchup. Last year, when the Panthers visited Morgantown, over 61,000 attended Milan Puskar Stadium, which has a 60,000 capacity.
As of right now, this will be the last Backyard Brawl in Pittsburgh until 2029, when the rivalry gets renewed for four more seasons, 2029-2032. However, that is subject to change as WVU head coach Neal Brown said that the Mountaineers are in the process of attempting to fix their schedule, earlier this week.
Kickoff for Saturday’s game will be at 3:30 p.m. EST, fans who are not attending the game can watch it on ESPN2.
