Watch: JJ Wetherholt Homers in First Postseason At-Bat

Former West Virginia star shortstop JJ Wetherholt homered in his first professional postseason at-bat Tuesday.

Wetherholt was drafted No. 7 overall by the St.Louis Cardinals in the recent MLB draft in July, becoming the highest drafted Mountaineer ever. He is the Cardinals’ No. 1 overall prospect and the No. 18 best prospect in all of baseball. Batting third for St.Louis’ Single-A affiliate the Palm Beach Cardinals, Wetherholt laced a two-run homer in his first at-bat of the Florida State League division series against the Daytona Tortugas.
