Game week for the 2024 and 107th edition of the Backyard Brawl is upon us.
Since its return in 2022, Pitt and West Virginia have split the two games, each picking up a win in their home stadium. WVU will be on the road this year.
However, according to betting odds, the Mountaineers are the early favorite to leave Saturday with a victory. They opened as -4.5 point favorites but now currently sit at -2.5, the same game time odds as last season, which they covered. Moneyline, West Virginia is -175.
The over/under, which didn’t hit last year but did in 2022, is currently set at 60.5. All odds are subject to change.
WVU comes into this matchup 1-1, having lost to Penn State and defeated UAlbany, while Pitt is 2-0, having defeated Kent State and Cincinnati. Kickoff from Acrisure Stadium is set for 3:30 p.m. EST Saturday, the game will be televised on ESPN2.
