Popular Country Singer Comments on Pat McAfee’s Donation to WVU NIL

Towards the end of his WVU/Morgantown show, Pat McAfee announced he’d be donating $1 million to West Virginia’s NIL (name, image and likeness) fund in the name of the Mountaineer teams he played with.

Popular recording artist Jason Bradley DeFord, known as Jelly Roll, commented on McAfee’s donation. “Pat you are an earth angel my brother. Love you bubba,” DeFord said in a quote on X.

DeFord hails from Tennessee and has risen to fame in the past two years, winning multiple awards. His song, “Get By,” was used as ESPN’s 2024 College Football anthem.
