The season opener between No. 8 Penn State and West Virginia has been suspended at precisely 2:04 p.m. EST, during halftime, due to lightning strikes in the area.
Penn State is up 20-6. Each lightning strike resets the delay for 30 additional minutes.

3:58 p.m. EST: If there are no more lightning strikes, warmups will begin at 4:08, play will resume at 4:23.
3:53 p.m. EST: There will be another resumption of play meeting at 4:00.
3:39 p.m. EST: There has been another lightning strike, the clock has been reset, the previous update no longer stands.
3:36 p.m. EST: They are attempting to reopen the stadium at 3:50 and resume the game at 4:05, pending no more lightning strikes.
3:23 p.m. EST: At 3:30 there will be a resumption of play meeting.
3:05 p.m. EST: The 30-minute countdown clock has been reset due to lightning strikes in the area. A time to resume has not yet been discussed/decided.
2:29 p.m. EST: It will be another 30 minutes before the 30-minute countdown clock can start.
