On the Neal Brown Show Thursday, live from Kegler’s, West Virginia’s head coach gave insight into playing time and starting personnel.
Brown said that true freshman Ric’Darious ‘DayDay’ Farmer will play Saturday. Farmer was a four-star recruit coming out of high school and ‘flipped’ to WVU on national signing day after being committed to UCF. Brown and staff were ultimately impressed with Farmer throughout fall camp, taking notice of his play-making ability.
“He’s got twitch and he’s got some explosiveness,” Brown said of Farmer during fall camp.
Brown also mentioned that Nick Malone will start at right tackle. There has been somewhat of a position battle at RT between Malone and Jax State Xavier Bausley. Malone, a Morgantown native, has been with WVU since 2019 and played in all 13 games last season, starting four.
