New Mountaineer Garnett Hollis Jr. has made an immediate impact in giving back to the community by dedicating every tackle or turnover he records this season to donating money to Maddox Potter.
Potter, a 16-year-old kid from West Virginia, was diagnosed with stage four Rhabdomyosarcoma in December of last year. Hollis, who transferred to WVU this offseason from Northwestern, pledges to donate money for every tackle or turnover he records this season to “Help Maddox Tackle Cancer.”
This fundraising platform also includes an option for fans to pledge money for every tackle or turnover he records. A set amount of money will be donated for each stat. Hollis quickly hit his initial fundraising goal of $5,000 for Potter but has raised the goal to $10,000 to continue to help the teen and his family as much as he can.
