Former West Virginia quarterback Will Grier was released by the Philadelphia Eagles Monday.
Grier was signed by the Eagles this offseason, which was the sixth NFL organization he has been a part of. He was originally drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the third round of the 2019 NFL draft.
This preseason, Grier completed seven of 11 passing attempts for 59 yards. Grier played for West Virginia from 2017-2018 where he threw for 7,354 yards and 71 touchdowns. In 2018, he finished fourth in the Heisman voting.
