ESPN Reporter Predicts West Virginia to Win Big 12

With college football officially back, ESPN journalist and reporter Marty Smith made his pick for power-four conference champions and had West Virginia winning the Big 12.

Pat McAfee also had his alma mater winning the Big 12. Smith had Georgia winning the SEC, Ohio State winning the Big 10 and Clemson winning the ACC. Smith’s prediction is a testament to the media having high expectations for the Mountaineers in 2024.

West Virginia hosts No. 8 Penn State in their season opener on Saturday, Aug. 31 . The game kicks off at noon est, with FOX’s Big Noon KickOff providing coverage.
