WVU Swimming & Diving Coach Places 6th in Olympic Finals

Sydney Pickrem, West Virginia’s Assistant Swimming & Diving Coach, represented Canada in the Women’s 200m Individual Medley Final earlier this afternoon.

With a time of 2:09.74, Pickrem was unable to bring home a medal in the event. However, Summer McIntosh picked up the gold medal for Canada with an Olympic Record time of 2:06.56.

Notably, swimmer Alex Walsh who represented the United States was disqualified, costing her the bronze medal. With that, the podium was completed by Kate Douglass of the United States and Kaylee McKeown of Australia.
