WVU Football training camp rages on in Morgantown this week, but Saturday calls for a break- one that will take place every year for the foreseeable future.

Saturday morning marks the Mountaineers’ Football Fan Day, an event that head coach Neal Brown says he has found the perfect point in the calendar to make an annual event.

“The first Saturday in August is always going to be our Fan Day,” Brown said.

This year, that Saturday is Saturday, Aug. 3. Events for Fan Day include an autograph session from 9:30 to 11:00 at Milan Puskar Stadium followed by a practice session until 1 p.m.

“It’s a light practice, but fans are going to see some of our new players and the transfers run around for the first time,” Brown said. “Our guys like practicing in front of people so they look forward to practicing in front of people as well.”

Along with the autograph opportunities, attendees for Football Fan Day have exclusive access to a 2024 Mountaineer schedule poster and magnet, which will be given out during the autograph session. Fans may enter through the West Gate as early as 9:20 a.m.
