For the fifth straight season, West Virginia’s top offensive lineman is being named with the best in the nation.
WVU offensive tackle Wyatt Milum was named to the Outland Trophy watch list on Tuesday. The watch list, formed by the Football Writers Association of America and comprising of 75 collegiate players, outlines those in contention for college football’s top interior lineman award based on preseason projections.
Milum is the fourth Mountaineer in the last five years to receive watch list recognition after Darius Stills in 2020, Dante Stills in 2020, 2021, and 2022, and Zach Frazier in 2023.
The inclusion of Milum on the Outland Trophy watch list comes just one day after West Virginia long snapper Austin Brinkman was named to the Patrick Mannelly Award watch list for college football’s highest long snapper recognition. Quarterback Garrett Greene was also named to the watch list for the Maxwell Award, which goes to the best all-around player in college football.
