In a Snapchat story, West Virginia wide receiver Hudson Clement took a video of himself in WVU’s new uniform wearing No. 3, not his No. 84 from last season.
The redshirt sophomore from Martinsburg, West Virginia had a breakout campaign in 2023, earning himself a scholarship after originally walking on. He caught 22 passes for 480 yards and four touchdowns. Three of those touchdowns came against Duquesne in week two, where he was then awarded his scholarship after the game.
Now in 2024, Clement looks to be a huge piece in the Mountaineers’ offense and it appears he will be wearing a new number while doing so. Clement was most likely given a higher number as a walk-on but now can sport No. 3, the number he wore in high school and on recruiting visits.
