Former Mountaineer Has Productive Night in NBA Summer League

Former West Virginia forward, Jalen Bridges scored 11 points in 13 minutes coming off the bench for the Phoenix Suns Wednesday, helping them to 100-99 victory over the Oklahoma Thunder in the NBA Summer League.

Bridges, originally from Fairmont, West Virginia played two seasons with WVU under Bob Huggins before transferring to conference foe Baylor after the 2021-2022 season. After going undrafted in the 2024 NBA draft, Bridges signed a two-way contract with the Suns on July 4.

The 23-year-old, shot 4-for-6 from the field, including 3-for-5 from three and came up with a steal in the win. Bridges is expected to start his career in the NBA G League but could work his way up to an NBA roster in the future.
