West Virginia left-handed pitcher Tyler Switalski has been drafted in the 16th round of the 2024 MLB draft by the San Francisco Giants.
Switalski spent one season with the Mountaineers after transferring from Gardner-Webb, but grew up relatively close to Morgantown, in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania. The 6-foot-4 junior started 14 games for WVU in 2024, appearing in 18, posting a 5-3 record with 58 strikeouts and a 5.10 ERA across 67 innings.
