Zach Frazier is gone from WVU and off toward his NFL debut for the Pittsburgh Steelers, but he has left his former O-Line in anything but shambles.
Under the leadership of offensive line coach Matt Moore and redshirt senior Brandon Yates at center, the Mountaineers are not exactly lost in the blocking department. Four seniors and one redshirt junior are slated to defend All-Big 12 fourth team quarterback Garrett Greene, and the depth behind those starters is notable as well.
The reason West Virginia’s offensive line is in position to be one of the best in the Big 12, though, is Wyatt Milum. Entering his fourth and final season at WVU, Milum may have higher expectations at left tackle than Frazier did at center last season.
Milum is PFF College’s ninth highest ranked offensive tackle in the 2025 draft class. He is coming off All-American Honorable Mention, All-Big 12 Second Team, and All-Big 12 Preseason Team selections. Milum is even slated to go higher than Zach Frazier did, as high as the first round, in some 2025 NFL Draft mocks.
Alongside head coach Neal Brown and fellow seniors Aubrey Burks, Garrett Greene, and Sean Martin, the marquee WVU talent will head to Big 12 Football Media Days in Las Vegas for WVU’s Wednesday press conference at 2:40 p.m. ET.
Milum will be one of few top offensive lineman at Football Media Days this year, as he headlines the list alongside fellow All-Big 12 honorable mention and senior, Texas Tech’s Caleb Rogers.
With the spotlight on Milum in terms of offensive linemen previewing their teams in Las Vegas, the senior will be looked to for the inside scoop on his upcoming NFL Draft process. Most importantly, he will be looked at to restore confidence in the WVU offensive line after the loss of its star center, which, while no easy feat, is nowhere near impossible for Milum.
