Best Virginia adds former Mountaineer Tarik Phillip to 2024 roster

Former Mountaineer Tarik Phillip has been added to the Best Virginia, WVU’s alumni TBT team, for another year the team announced on X.

Phillip played for WVU for three seasons from 2014-17 and was named the Big 12 sixth man of the year his senior season. That year the guard averaged 9.5 points per game and shot 37 percent from behind the arc.

After playing as a Mountaineer, Phillip went on to play basketball overseas where he currently still plays as a member of the London Lions. Now 30 years old, Phillip will rep the gold and blue once again with Best Virginia.

The first game of the tournament is on July 20 where the team will be playing in Pittsburgh to kick things off.
