After the dust had settled and Tennessee rose victorious, the collegiate baseball landscape and Baseball America put together a final top 25 rankings that included the Mountaineers at 13.
Not only is that the highest ranking of the season for the Gold and Blue, but it is the highest end of season ranking among any team in the Big 12 conference.
The 13 ranking came after WVU went to their first ever Super Regional tournament after sweeping the Tucson regional. It was the first time in program history the Mountaineers reached the Super Regionals and went toe-to-toe with a top four team, North Carolina.
