Jesse Edwards Signs with the Minnesota Timberwolves

After the NBA Draft on Thursday night, West Virginia center Jesse Edwards signed a two-way contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Edwards confirmed the signing on his Instagram story, saying “So crazy. A dream this opportunity”.

In Edwards lone season with the Mountaineers he averaged 15 points and eight rebounds per game. Despite missing six weeks with a fractured wrist, Edwards still led the West Virginia in blocked shots for the 2023-24 season. Edwards also set a collegiate career high in points during the first round of the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship, dropping 36 points against TCU.

Edwards played four seasons at Syracuse University before transferring to West Virginia. In his final season with the Orange, he averaged 14.5 points and 10.8 rebounds per game.
