Drake’s 2024 coaching staff reunion in Morgantown grew by one more member on Monday, as former Drake assistant Tom Ostrom signed with West Virginia.
Ostrom is the third assistant to rejoin DeVries’ coaching staff. Director of player development Nick Norton and scouting coordinator Cavel Witter, who signed with WVU on Friday, both coached alongside Ostrom under DeVries at Drake last season.
After four seasons as associate head coach for Indiana, Ostrom spent the last two with DeVries at Drake. He also spent a combined 20 seasons as an assistant in different capacities with Florida, South Alabama, Arkansas, and Dayton. Ostrom has reached the NCAA Tournament 13 times as a member of the coaching staff.
Before Ostrom’s signing with West Virginia, he was set to join the Vanderbilt Commodores as an assistant.
