With 17 commitments for the upcoming fall, Rivals.com ranks West Virginia’s recruiting class as the 21st best in the nation, while 247Sports ranks 24th. Both websites rank West Virginia’s recruiting class in the Top 5 among Big 12 schools, with Rivals.com placing them at 3rd and 247Sports at 4th.
The class of 2025 features two four-star and 15 three-star players, according to Rivals.com. The class is headlined by defensive tackle Amir Leonard-Jean Charles from Nashville, Tennessee, and running back Deandre Desinor from Delray Beach, Florida. The 17 players hail from 11 states, with multiple commitments from Florida, Maryland, and West Virginia. The two players recruited from West Virginia, cornerback Zah Jackson and wide receiver Tyshawn Dues, were ranked as the Top 2 players from the state by 247Sports.
West Virginia focused on recruiting defensive backs for this upcoming class, securing commitments from five players who will play either cornerback or safety. Additionally, four offensive linemen were recruited as the program prepares for the departures of Wyatt Milum and Brandon Yates after this season.
