Derek Clark is the Rawlings Gold Glove Award Winner among NCAA Division I pitchers, his second in his collegiate career.
The Gold Glove Awards are presented annually by Rawlings and selected by the American Baseball Coaches Association, or ABCA for short. These awards are chosen by the ABCA All-America Committee for each Division in collegiate baseball, and also at the high school level.
Last season, Derek Clark received the same award for the Division II Gold Glove team while playing at Northwood University.
The other finalists for the pitcher position on the Gold Glove team included North Carolina’s Shea Sprague and Florida State’s Carson Dorsey. West Virginia faced Sprague during the Super Regionals. No other Mountaineers were finalists to make the Division I Gold Glove team.
