Another “Deuce” is making his way to Morgantown, and this time he will be making noise on the football field.
Terrance Edwards, a Virginia high school cornerback sharing a nickname with former WVU Basketball guard Miles “Deuce” McBride, is a hard commit to WVU’s class of 2025, he announced on X on Saturday.
Edwards, who stands at 6’1″ and 180 pounds, is listed as a three-star cornerback recruit for the class of 2025. A versatile player, Edwards is listed as an athlete by 247 sports and ranks 19th among all Virginia players in his class.
After recording 33 tackles, three interceptions, and 14 pass break-ups along with five touchdowns as an offensive player for Trinity Episcopal School as a junior, Edwards made himself a valuable 2025 recruit, receiving over 20 offers. He narrowed his options down to WVU, Virginia Tech, and Michigan State before his announcement, throwing out offers from Michigan and Oklahoma among others.
Secondary coach ShaDon Brown will welcome Edwards to the newly integrated defensive back room in 2025. He is the Mountaineers’ 13th commit from his high school class.
