West Virginia’s T.J. Jackson receives highest PFF Grade among Big 12 Defensive Tackles

West Virginia’s newest defensive line addition is already earning the Mountaineers new credibility ahead of this fall.

PFF College announced the grades of its top returning defensive tackles playing in the Big 12 this season, and WVU senior transfer T.J. Jackson’s 89.7 tops all others by over six points.

Jackson, who stands at 6’1″ with a weight of 282 pounds, joins the Mountaineers this season after four years at Troy. Jackson played 36 games with the Trojans, whom he earned two All-Sun Belt team appearances, including team honors in 2022.

In 2023, Jackson recorded 27 tackles, including seven tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks. Cincinnati’s Dontay Corleone, who ranked second in PFF College’s rankings, earned All-Big 12 second team honors with 39 tackles, including 6.5 for loss and three sacks.
