Former WVU basketball and NBA legend Jerry West passed away at the age of 86 years old on Wednesday. The news was announced via social media.
According to the Los Angeles Clippers, West passed away peacefully in his sleep next to his wife of 46 years, Karen West.
West played three seasons at WVU before going to have a very successful NBA career as a player, coach, and front office executive. He would even go on to become the logo of the NBA.
Jerry West is an icon of basketball, a CBB and NBA Hall of Famer, an NBA champion, a gold medalist, an executive of the year, and a league MVP.
